So....Ryan told me that he got a babysitter and we were going to go out to dinner. Ok, cool! But, I knew something was up when he said HE got a sitter. Love him dearly, but, in all 8+ years that we have been dating, he has yet to arrange a babysitter on his own. I was simply thinking that we were going to dinner, and maybe a surprise party....since it was a week before my 30th birthday? Either way, I was along for the ride. So, after dinner (Chuy's on Plaza), we were getting ready to leave to go meet "Bryan and Lel just for a drink". However, when we were leaving, we were sitting on the patio simply enjoying the moment. Next thing I knew, he handed me an oblong Meirotto's box, but I wasn't thinking a ring. I opened it, and low and behold, there was a beautiful rose gold engagement ring and band. WOW!!! After happy tears and disbelief, we were on our way to Conrad's for that drink. Well, we walk in and SURPRISE, there was a BUNCH of people. What a fun and memorable evening! So excited to be MARRIED.
